postcards from a month in paradise

Almost a year late, but recently I've been daydreaming of hot summer days and crystal clear waters as summer draws near. My month in South Caicos was pretty awesome, waking up every morning to the sound of crashing waves and glorious sunlight was surreal. And going to bed after seeing the most incredibly sunsets makes you feel so small in the universe. These images are a combination of shots taken with my Nikon D700, and my dear iPhone 5s in a LifeProof housing case that has now been retired.

ocean park

Just a few shots from my very exciting day out at Ocean Park for the first time in about two years. So many new rides, a whole new polar-themed area and a re-vamped aquarium that made me extremely excited.

marine nature study area, oceanside

Went to Long Island for the first time for a fieldtrip; there was a kind of amazing peacefullness you'd never find in NYC. It was a quiet afternoon ending with the most amazing perfect golden sunlight that made me wish I brought my film camera with me.
